Meet Claire

Claire Macer-Wright is an Occupational Therapist with over 12 years of experience across a variety of clinical areas and settings.

She has worked in both the public and private sectors in South Africa, where she gained extensive experience in trauma-related injuries and rehabilitation. Claire ran her own private practice in Johannesburg for 10 years before relocating to Brisbane. Her practice focused on hand and upper limb rehabilitation, wound care, and scar management.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy from the University of the Witwatersrand and a Postgraduate Diploma in Hand Therapy from the University of Pretoria. Claire has a particular clinical interest in scarring following traumatic hand injuries and the impact this has on functional outcomes and recovery, and she hopes to further explore this area through ongoing professional development and research.
